Photoshop CC: Scanning has became harder than TWAIN with Image Capture

Scanning in Photoshop CC has became harder than it was in earlier versions of Photoshop. I am using a Mac computer running Yosemite. File< Images from Device option opens a scanning window. For each page that I scan, I have to select the shared device. For each page first it makes an overview scan and I have to choose the area that needs to be scanned. When I used TWAIN in earlier versions these steps were optional and scanning multiple pages were very simple. If I open another window on another software photoshop does not save the scanned image. Also, there is a serious bug on the "Images from Device" window. Sometimes the window does not show a "Scan" button. When I click on "Cancel" it scans!!! Is there a way to simplify scanning multiple pages process as it used to be?

You can still download the TWAIN plugin for Photoshop, but not all makes and models have 64 bit TWAIN drivers - while most of them do have the Image Capture drivers. And yes, we have to live with the clumsy design of the OS scanning interface for the Image Capture route.

We recommend scanning outside of Photoshop - that way you don't tie up Photoshop, and the scanner driver won't crash Photoshop.

Chris, Thank you for your quick response. After reading your response I installed TWAIN and it worked for me.
