Using the Photoshop Elements V12 on Maverick with your TWAIN.plugin to driver a Photo Scanner, the Kodak Alaris Photo Scanner driver dialogue comes up in Dutch, not English as our developers tell me the application is asking for it in Dutch instead of English with the rest of the MacBook Pro is running in, If I use another none Adobe application to drive the scanner in a similar way, the scanner's driver dialogue will come up in English. How can I get this fixed?

The TWAIN dialog is provided by your scanner driver software. Photoshop has no control over that at all.

You need to download and install the correct driver for your scanner.

Here is what Photo Shop Elements is sending to the driver which is asking for Dutch 00647 112118153 twn_ctwain 715 22 T140735296234256 S3 V. ### appIdentity

Elements and Photoshop don't specify the language via TWAIN at all.
It sounds like you just installed a Dutch version of the Kodak driver (or selected Dutch as a language when installing it) by mistake.

Sorry, their is only one driver that supports all languages. The Adobe application is telling the driver to do Dutch, not English. If you run another application with the exact same driver on the exact same Mac, the driver will come up in English.....

Is Elements or OS set to Dutch language? Otherwise, there's nothing from Elements that could tell the driver to run in Dutch.

No. Elements and OS are both set to English, not Dutch. We have found another way to resolve the issue. Thank you

This is an issue known by Kodak which they've yet to release an official fix for. They did however release a PDF explaining the many steps required to fix it.

I've put together a much simpler shell script that will restore the language to english, download here: http://cl.ly/2Y1P3c35120b/download/Ko...
