Scaling bug in Photoshop and Illustrator CC 15 release

When I create a file to specific dimensions in Photoshop: Let's say 800x600px, at 300dpi, I place it in Illustrator, only to find that the file is about 3/4 of the size of the Illustrator page size. This is despite BOTH files being set to the same Resolution, Size and Colour mode.

What's weirder is that when I copied something from Illustrator, over to Photoshop, It copies in scale. So using my example, if I selected a whole page at 800x600 in Illustrator, and copied it into PS it would be 800x600 within the Photoshop window.

I have no idea what is going on, but It's making working cross platform on visuals really, really annoying.

Anyone else had this problem?

I haven't seen such a problem.
Placing a file in Photoshop honors the physical dimensions (inches, cm, etc.) over pixel values (this allows placing low res artwork and replacing it with high res later, or scaling up the design and having the layout still match) -- so you really do need the resolution to match in order to have the size match.

We have seen occasional issues where Illustrator reset the resolution value, or trimmed the artwork (not the full page, but tight bounds on artwork from within the page).
