How can I save downloaded brushes in Photoshop Element 10? I have tried and ended up erasing all of the Faux Finish Brushes that originally came with the program. The brushes I wanted to save are showing up there now, but have no idea what I did to erase the Faux brushes and how the downloads were saved. Do not want to experiment again and loose more brushes.

Sounds like you loaded a new set of brushes and chose "replace" instead of append. You can save the current set you loaded/created or restore the default set of brushes from the preset pop-up:

Or choose a specific set of presets from the Brush preset pop-up:

I tried your above suggestion. I still have not been able to restore the original brushes in Faux Finish Brushes. And still have not been able to save any downloadable brushes. Is there a phone number I can call?

If you are missing a brush preset from the list (as illustrated above in Jeff's second picture), it means the preset file has be moved, renamed, or deleted. You can create a new copy of the file in the correct location by simply running the Photoshop Elements installer. This will repair your install, adding back any files that have gone missing.
