Aside from being the most difficult program to operate, hands down, of any software program, I continue to muddle through with trying to get it to work. Would never have bought this program if I knew the difficulty in operation. Nothing is intuitive. It's like some super nerd, made the operation to his liking and the rest of the world can't understand it.
Having said that, can anyone tell me why I enter contacts in Photoshop.com to share my albums and they don't save. Each time I go into share I have to recreate the whole stupid address book!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is the secret (and I'm sure there is one) to getting the address book in photoshop.com to save the stupid names for Criminany's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi John,

I tried adding/updating contacts in my account and it worked fine.

Can you please retry. You can add contacts directly to the address book from top Right Corner in Express organizer (Settings > My Address Book)

Well, I wrote you out a lengthy reply, hit the Reply button below & got an error message that I had to be logged in. This is the kind of aggrevation with Adobe I'm talking about. I lost all the response when I had to go log in and the log in took me to my home page. Completely lost all my response to you.
Briefly, Yes I have tried what you have suggested numerous time. Even recreated my address book through importing and hand typing all information. It works while I stay logged in or if I go in immediately afterwords, but never when I shut down the computer and go back in say the next day.
Sharing is the main reason I bought the program, but I'm not going to recreate my address book each and everytime. It is an extremely compicated program to learn, as Im sure you know. I've managed to meagerly learn to navigate the program. This final hurdle with the program is just the last straw.
ps....when you aske someone to respond to your question, don't require them to log in after they write a lengthy response only to be required to log in and have their response lost.

Hi John,

Apologies for all the problems you are facing,

This looks like to be a specific case of contacts getting lost. Before you try re-creating your address book, let us rule out a few things that could be causing this problem

1. Do you by any chance use Photoshop Elements also?
2. Are there any special characters (like & * / ) or Japanese/Chinese language characters in any of the contacts name?
3. What is the approximate no of contacts you created/imported? If this no is huge, then after clicking Done you may want to give the system some time to update all the contacts before you hit Finish (although this should really not matter, but just in case)
4. If none of this explains anything, just try creating a few (2-3) contacts and see if that works.

Let me know how does it go. Again apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards

1. Yes, that is how I came to have to join photoshop.com; not to go into yet another problem with an Adobe product, but I could not get Elements to communicate with photoshop.com and share my albums with friends. the address book problem is just the latest in a series of problems with this hardware....but don't try solving that problem, I've learned to muddle through and can operate under this handicap. The address book problem is what we need to focus on.
2. no
3.I've done that
4.I have, it doesn't. Once i close out....sign out, and go away from the site, when I go back....no addresses. Guess what you are saying is there is a glitch with just my software?

Hi John,

Thanks for the responses.

Are you able to see the contacts from within the Photoshop Elements Organizer? We have a known issue that can cause contacts to disappear in Elements.

Since you are facing the problem on Photoshop.com Website, i can get your account checked by the back-end team to see what could be going wrong.

I have sent you a private email. Please respond to that.

Regards

PS : Contacts are synced between Photoshop Elements and Photoshop.com.

No, I am not able to keep my contacts in either Elements Organizer or photoshop.com. I have tried both and lose them in both. Yesterday, I tried importing from Outlook into both and they were wiped out.
I have now decertified my program and was about to reinstall when I got your email. I will wait to hear from you before doing anything further.

Same problem here! My address book does not retain any information whatsoever! I have been trying to share e few pictures online and every time I click on Done the "default Beep" comes on without telling me why, but nothing get s sent anywhere. The address book looses everything only when I close Elements Organizer and re-open it.
I have Adobe elements 9 and as it has been said earlier, this is a pretty difficult program to operate and I am about to drop it like a hot potatoe unless it gets a little easier to run. Also the transition to Revel has not been very clear; it seems difficult to interact with that program.
Thanks in advance.

Jacques.

Given that Photoshop.com sharing and storage is being discontinued, your issue may relate to this. I know that after your files migrate to Revel, you can no longer upload files there. If you save files there, you may want to archive them and check out Revel, another cloud service that files are being migrated to if you did not opt out. One thing to note is that Elements 9 will not interface with Revel. Elements 11 is the first version that can upload to Revel. You can upload from your hard drive though.
