PHOTOSHOP: can't save files with colons in the filename on MacOS

when I try to save a history saved time shot as a new document I get some rubbish about an incorrect file type the base file is pre 2014 and I can't keep it. when I start afresh with after 2014 files can do.... Most annoying. up to date apple OS

Colons are not valid filename characters on MacOS, due to legacy pathname issues in MacOS.

Many thanks Chris for your time but to no avail.
Now does not save pre 14 files or after 14 files still works on normal saves
starts off with slashes between then puts colons in.
won't work when file called fred neither
must have a bug or a clash I guess
