Photoshop elements 10
Save/Save As
Both do the same thing asking all the questions like filename/filename already exists overwrite?/ and compression size.

"save" SHOULD be a 1 click operation saving with the same name in the same format, ect. like it is in every other windows program since the beginning

Save does save with a single click, assuming that the document meets the requirements for the file format it started in.
If it's a new document, then save has to prompt you for the format and options.

It is just like other programs (well, with a bit more intelligence).

I'm having trouble saving edits in Elements 9. I make the changes and hit save to the file I was using. I then close everything up and go to open the file. It doesn't exist. It is very frustrating.
