Photoshop Elements: Save for Web - only GIF as default for PSE 10?

The default file format for "Save for Web" in PSE apparently cannot be changed from GIF to JPG, according to your chat support people. In earlier versions, if you saved for web as a JPG once in a session, the JPG format would be the default for at least the rest of the session. This is a real issue for many of us who use jpg format for website graphics.

Hi Susan,

Switching to JPEG in Save For Web and saving the file seems to set the default to JPEG for subsequent files - at least on Mac OS X.

What OS are you on?
