Photoshop CS: Save for Web feature crashes Photoshop

I just designed a website in Photoshop for a very important client (who's approved the design), but when I go to save for web, the program crashes. What I don't understand is why I can save other files to web, and it work just fine. But the one file I need to save to web crashes the program. If I haven't changed my system since working on other projects, why would just that one file have an issue?

I sent it to a friend, and his photoshop crashed too.

It would be pretty bad to have to create this file over again from scratch. And if I don't know where the problem came in, how do I keep from doing it again. Is there any way to save a file like this?

Which version of Photoshop are you using? Have you installed all the updates?

Which OS version?

My guess would be something related to fonts or layer styles.

But with a version that old running on a relatively recent OS - it could be almost anything.

I got around the problem. I opened a new document and dragged everything into it. That file saves to web. Once I lined everything up it turned out that the second file would work just fine. I still don't know why that first file won't save. It won't save on my friend's computer that is running CS6 either. But, at least there was an alternative. Thank you for your response.
