Photoshop CS6: Save for Web doesn't display correct file format information...

I'm in Photoshop CS6. Been noticing recently that the Save for Web & Devices has been really bizarre. I currently am trying to save a simple JPEG and I can change the image quality and all that. But in the bottom left corner where it usually shows file into - it's saying GIF, and giving me a kilobyte number that's not at all accurate.

Anyone know why?

That's strange. Can you post a screen shot of what you're seeing?

You could try restoring your preferences: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

If you do restore your prefs, please save a copy of your existing prefs in case they turn out to be the culprit. Having the bad prefs can sometimes help us track down the issue.

I think I recall a bug where SFW wasn't updating the information correctly in some circumstances. I'm pretty sure that was fixed a while back though (not sure if it was a CS6 dot release or CC).
