Brand new MacBook Pro. Fresh install of CC and Photoshop CC 2018. Try to save for web and:

The operation could not be completed.
The file or directory could not be found.

Ran First Aid in Disk Utilities to repair permissions. Uninstalled CC, used CC Cleaner Tool, reinstalled, same issues.

Some of us have work to do!

None of those files even exist on my system on account of the uninstall/cleaner tool.

Howdy Benjamin,

What you are encountering is strange.  It's also not happening on my end -- I use S4W all the time without any trouble and I generally run clean installs on new partitions.  So, let's see if we can get to the bottom of this for you...

Have you gone through and made sure that all the shared folders are also deleted?  After that reinstall and try to save to the Desktop without using S4W.  Assuming that worked, trying saving a JPG to the Desktop.  If that works too, then try S4W to the Desktop.  Where things fail is important.

I'm available to do a web-hosted screenshare to help you troubleshoot this, if you'd like.  Just let me know.

Thanks,
David

Hi, I don't know if I can be useful to anyone, but I had the same issue under Windows 10 and I found out that it was the Windows Defender built-in anti-ransomware feature blocking the access to some folders. Photoshop wasn't recognized as a standard application so the anti-ransomware prevented it accessing files and folders. When I removed the anti-ransomware feature, the save for web immediately started working again.
The anti-ransomware can be activated or deactivated under the Windows Defender settings panel in Windows.
