I want to be be able to start a blank document, paint an image, then save the image name the same as another file in my folder automatically but with a number next to it.Normally I have to save each file manually.

For example, if theres a file in my folder named TEST.psd. When i start up a blank photoshop document, work on it, and want to save...I want it to save as TEST2.psd. Then later I create another file and save it and its TEST3.psd. Just automically. I tried using BATCH and Image Processor but cant seem to get these to work unless Im doing something wrong. Is this possible to achieve?

Do you know Javascript? This would be pretty easy to write a script that does this.
