Same Hex codes from Color Wheel CC give different colors in Photoshop and After Effects

I am working on a project using both Photoshop and After Effects. I am using the same color palette from Color Wheel CC through Libraries in both applications. Color profiles are both set to 16 bit sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and blending modes to Normal, yet when I export a Png file on both applications I get different colors.
I have also noticed that Hex codes (for the same color)  in Color Wheel CC are different from the ones I get in my applications (I get the same Hex code in Photoshop and After Effects, but a different one in Color Wheel CC).
I have already contacted Adobe Support and people there came to the conclusion that same color Hex corresponds to different colors throughout the various apps of Creative Cloud and that I should work by importing files from one app to another and not trust colors from Libraries.
I managed to go on with my project and still both apps are more than great, however what's the point of having a common color library throughout the Cloud if same colors appear different in different apps?
The reason I am posting this here is because, in my eyes, colors in After Effects seem to match the ones I see in Color Wheel CC whereas Photoshop's not.
