Photoshop 2018: Realtime Ruler update slows zoom

Rulers now update in real time with zoom in Photoshop. This slows down the zoom update time considerably, as it gets all jumpy. Removing rulers makes the zoom act just fine.

PS 2018 (19.0.01) and windows 10 issue.

Zoom is slow no matter what.  The percent zoom doesn't update until after zoom finish  whereas it used to be coincident with finish.
It seems that the algorithms still run same speed but the ramp up and ramp down to run something is very sluggish.
Not a good update!

Update: panning with rulers also slow and jumpy, which makes working with rulers quite a bad experience
