Hi. I think there should be a pivot option to rotation tool.
Now the pivot is always in the center of the window. I would like to be able to move it somehow to the place i'm working around at the moment, which is rarely the center of the window for me.
Maybe possibility to move and pin it around.

Are you talking about the Rotate View tool? Or the Rotate tool that pivots around the  selected reference point in the transform proxy on the Options bar?  I'm not clear here what you're trying to do, so I don't understand how adding an anchor manually is going to help anything?

I'm sorry for misdirection - yes, it is Rotate View tool.
For better clearance a screenshot http://clip2net.com/s/3ObQpMs where the red spot is where i'm working at, and the "compass" is the rotation pivot. When i rotate, the red spot goes outside the screen.
I can work in window, then i will have more control, but i tend to accidentally move the window around, so i prefer to work full screen.
I would love it to be more like a traditional paper drawing experience, and i think the rotation is a huge part of it.
So if i just could move the compass around and pin it in the place i want to work at, could be great. Possibly an option pin it to screen or canvas would add to it.

thank you.

to be even clearer - here is another example http://clip2net.com/s/3ObRXRd i would never rotate the canvas here, it is very misdirecting.
I would rather like to rotate in simply in the center of canvas.

I see now. I don't get that because a) I'm usually zoomed way in trying to draw or paint when I use the feature, and b) I don't work full screen—I preview full screen. I think the 2nd shot shows what you really don't want happening that currently does. I understand now.

To be frank, though, I wouldn't hold my breath for a change in this feature anytime soon, since working full screen is probably not "typical," and they seem to be pretty backed up with other things at the moment—or any moment. But you never know what they will do next, so it's a good thing to put up the Feature Request and see if there aren't a lot of other people who work your way and want them to improve the feature.

BTW, if you click the camera you can add a screenshot directly to your post. More people are likely to look at that than will click on an outside link if they're only half-interested. So unless you have some reason for not posting in the thread itself. . .

I just had an idea of an option for rotation tool: to rotate around an area of last stroke.
ZBrush has same thing is in it.

p.s.: There is alot to learn from zbrush UI.
