The trouble you describe sounds like a known issue where the Album viewing controls (View In Browser/Copy Link) are nonfunctional while imported images are still uploading. This is a known issue we hope to resolve soon.
The work-around for now is to allow your current uploads to complete, and then try the Album sharing/viewing controls.
