Hi !

I manage my images in Lightroom 4. Just tried Revel (on a Mac). Configured the LR publication service in LR for no image resizing, 100% JPG quality. I created a very sharp 1024px image that I then published.

When looking at it from the Mac Revel application, I find that there is an image quality loss. Image seems somewhat compressed, with less overall definition, compared to the image that was exported by LR (since I'm able to find it and compare it to what Revel shows me). I try to have the image in Revel at the same size as the original.

Is Revel compressing the images it's working with?

Is there a way to ensure that the image is viewed at a 1:1 ratio?

Revel stores the original file that you uploaded and does not alter it ever. We will create downsampled copies though so that you can download them faster. If you are in the detail view, you may see the downsampling artifacts. If you export the original file from Revel, you will the exact file that you uploaded. We are working on better previewing logic now to show the higher quality images that we store.
