2 part question, please provide info:

1. When I add a new photo to a Revel album in Lightroom and then publish the album to Revel from LR, are the new photos automatically added to the Revel library?

2. I first imported all of my photos into Revel and then bought and started using LR. If I add a photo to a Revel album in LR and then publish the album to Revel, will photos that already existed in the Revel library be published again? Will I end up with duplicate photos?

I am in the midst of a 20k photo synch between LR and Revel, recreating all of my old Photoshop express albums in Revel. I am probably a "power user" when it comes to these photo organization tasks. I cannot find a clear description of what I asked already here. I checked. Thank you!

Hi, Christine,
I'm from LR Dev team. Thanks for your questions.

the new photos published to an album will be automatically added to the Revel library.

Due to Revel and LR have different ideas of what a duplicate is, so if a photo is imported into Revel first, then add it to an album in LR and publish the album, the photo will be published again as a new photo, will not be treated as a duplicate photo.

Thank you, Ying.

Unfortunately, since there is no way for me to work around this and other concerns in a way that meets my needs, my new workflow is LR and SmugMug.
