revel dowload tool wont open on win 10

  • I tried to download the revel downloader tool to my computer and it wont open.  it dowloads via a zip file. once i open the zip file the application wont load. I'm using win 10 
how can i get the dowloader tool on to my computer I have 19000 photos I need to download to my computer from revel.

I am  having same problem however I am using windows xp. I am very, very frustrated as I have been trying to do this since mid afternoon.

I had the same problem where the downloaded file will not open in Windows Vista or in Windows 8.1. As a result, I missed the deadline to get my photos downloaded from Revel.

Though the Revel app will no longer work the downloaders will continue to work so you can get your assets.  As I mentioned below it sounds to me like you need to unzip the actual folder the
downloader is in - if you right click the zip file you should see an "extract all" or equivalent.  Windows allows you to view the contents of folders
without actually extracting all their data. If you execute an
application from inside the zip without actually unzipping all the data
all its support files are not unzipped and it will fail.     I did a

Sorry you hit some bumps. 

It sounds to me like you need to unzip the actual folder the downloader is in.  Windows allows you to view the contents of folders without actually extracting all their data.
