Photoshop 21.1: Resizing text - glitchy/jumpy/snapping

Latest Photoshop on the Mac. Hitting Command+T to resize text then shit+click+dragging is no longer smooth, text jumps around randomly resizing making it pot luck what size the text will end up at. Object scaling works normally. Yes another glitchy workflow problem.

It gets worse. Attempting to resize text glitches out and gives me this error. Never seen this in over 20 years of using Photoshop. The resize transform box is so s-l-o-w now, it jumps around and erratically resizes. It's a lottery what size the type ends up.

I got the exact same problem. Resizing is not working without HEAVY lags, making it impossible to work with!

Did you notice decrease in performance for brushes as well?

Yes, brush performance has been in decline since the first version of CC and has been getting worse ever since. For any serious brushwork now I have to work in Photoshop CS6.

I'm not seeing this behavior with the 21.1.1 update that went out this AM. Can you install the update and let me know if you're still having trouble?

It's better but the entire program still feels like swimming through bricks. Everything just feels so slow and unworkable.

@jeffrei Tranberry I am on 21.1.1 now and its definetly not better. Weirdly enoug it was a little bit when I first updated. But it's worse now.

I already did:
- updated all drivers (just to make sure)
- reinstalled current version PS (21.1.1)
- Type preview to "none"
- cleared cache & font cache
- Deleted all fonts, but the windows standard fonts
- Set different performance settings in preferences (recording to adobe/other posts)

The more I go backwards in versions, the better the performance.
