With my iPad, I want to be able to crop an image intended for Instagram to 4x5, 1080px wide. I want to be able to send a client a 4x6 (1200x1800) version at 300ppi. If this is possible now, I haven’t figured out how to do it.
Yeah this is the one thing I am actually very surprised isn’t already implemented. There are no aspect ratio snapping, custom dimension, or resizing of any sort and that really bugs me. It’s all freehand which is just... I don’t know how that was missed
Thanks, Nathan. I'm glad it's not just me, and I'm glad it's not something obvious I overlooked. :-) I'm a working pro, b2b photographer. I'm not a fine artist. The demos of compositing are dazzling, but that's not where I live. For what I imagine doing on my iPad (rush delivery in the field), I just need the basics. I consider cropping to a constrained aspect ratio and resampling to a specific inch-by-resolution or pixel value to be basics. Affinity Photo for iPad can do this, but I do like Adobe's UI, and I really do see significant value with Adobe's Cloud Documents technology. I hope this capability is on the short-term feature list.
