When making tiling textures for games one must perform certain steps to make sure that the image continues to tile correctly when using filters.

It would be great if there were a check box to make the filter work properly with tiling textures.

The current work around for the issue is to "Define a pattern" from the entire texture or image then to make a canvas that is 3 times the size of the original image, then to fill the new image with the pattern created from the previous texture.

Now we have a tiling texture that repeats 3x in x and y. When filter operations are performed, now that the texture is tiled, the result will correctly tile in the center tile.

The center tile image then needs to be cropped and placed back into the original document. It would be great if Gaussian blur and the other filters simply supported this with a check box.

This workflow issue comes up in the games industry all the time.
