Lightroom: Ability to specify editor specific "Edit Externally File Naming" for External Editors

As a licensed user of LR3 and using several external editor programs (Autopano pro, photomatix, OloneoHDR, ACDSee Pro, DXO Optics Pro, Perfect Photo Suite [all licensed]), I would like to have the External File Naming method changed.
Currently the External Editing in the Preferences has only one general "Edit Externally File Naming" for ALL external editor programs!
I would like to have it changed in such a way that EACH Additional External Editor has its own so that I could track any editing send back to LR and thereby identify the program that modified the image.

Just as useful would be some metadata that gets set after round-trip edits.

Yes, though you need a couple of changes. It should be recorded in History when the TIF is returned to LR (eg "Edited in Silver Efex Pro"), and History should be made searchable via smart collections.

I agree with this 100%. I would like to add a unique suffix for EACH external editor I choose to.

I am also looking forward to this option available in a future release of LR!
