Repeatable Bug When Moving Folders in LR Classic CC 7.0.1

Found while doing a little reorganization when moving directories in the Folders window...  If moving two folders with similar names LR fails to move the second folder.

Drag and drop two folders...

The second folder is not moved and will not do so on repeated attempts.

Move the folder in the Windows file browser and find the missing folder, all is well.

Just verified this bug is still there in the latest version on a fresh update. No surprise, these sort of bugs go unnoticed very easily.

Repeatable in 7.1 & Win10 with even the simplest folder names.

Combos of folder names that work as expected -
"A" / "B"
"AA" / "AB"
"A" / "BA"
"00" / "01"

Combos of folder names that exhibit the problem -
"A" / "AA"
"0" / "00"

Seems the problem shows up if the first character matches and the length of the folder names is different.

Confirmed for LF CCC 7.1 on Win 10.
After creating folders 'A' and 'AA' in the same folder, I was able to move 'AA' around until I first tried to move 'A' and 'AA' together. Then that I was not able to move 'AA' any more.
After a LR restart 'AA' could be moved again. Moving both together from the same parent folder brought the issue back.
'A' and 'AA' have to be subfolders of the same parent when trying to move, else the issue does not occur.
When 'AA' is in stuck mode, you cannot move other folders into 'AA'.
Odd issue, the database looks inconspicuous.

The way I have got around it is to select all the images and then rename that way LR does not think they are the same images. If I understand your issue. I have been doing some housekeeping also too many duplicate files, I wish there was an easy way to do it. I just did a complete reinstall last week of everything

Hey Todd, I think you're missing the mark.  We're talking about problems moving folders that have similar names.  It's not an issue of duplicates or filenames of the images themselves.
