Reject button should NOT advance next image

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC 7.0.1, Windows 10

When I press X or click the icon to set the Reject flag for an image, I am suddenly automatically advanced to the next image. This never used to happen when Lightroom was Lightroom. When I click the Reject icon, all that should happen is the icon gets toggled on or off. Stop deciding which photo I should look at. This autoadvance is incredibly annoying. I do NOT want to have to make clicking that Reject button the very final thing I do when considering an image. I want to be able to click it on, and possibly off again, like any other setting.

Auto-advance behaviour belongs in a preference switch or should require an extra key (Shift or Ctrl). I don't want to have to remember which icons include auto-advance and which just do what they are labelled to do.

Holy Cow. I go back and now it is behaving as before, I can click X or the icon and Reject does not auto-advance. What could possibly have changed during the time I wrote this complaint?

That is a setting you can change yourself. Menu 'Photo - Auto Advance'.

Turn off your CapsLock key.
With it on, you'll auto-advance to the next image.
With it off, you'll stay on the image.

CapsLock! Mystery solved. Thanks Tom. And I hadn't seen that AutoAdvance setting, so thanks for that too, Johan, but it must have been CapsLock which gets turned on here too easily.

Solved but not fixed, the caps lock keyboard shortcut should be shown in the menu, I think.

To each their own, but I personally think there's already enough clutter in the Lr menus without having every keyboard shortcut spelled out there too.  There are plenty of other places - tips, manuals, quick references, etc. - where it's documented.

If you're looking for a nice keyboard shortcut reference, I'd recommend heading over to Victoria Brampton's site -

Keeping that handy is far better than trolling through the Lr menus, in my opinion.

And the 'Caps Lock' hint does not show in the 'on-screen' keyboard shortcuts either. Type [ Ctrl+/ ]. That is Ctrl plus the key with a question mark.

Agreed.  It should be listed in that Library Shortcut pop-up.  They show the auto-advance Shift key combo in the Rating section, but not in the Flagging section for some reason.  The "U" shortcut for removing a flag also appears to be missing.
