Photoshop elements is corrupted and in the organizer page, no tabs show up. I cannot access my catalog.
If I reinstall photoshop elements from a cd, will I loose the catalog, links and/or the photo tags ?

Which Elements version, which OS (Win or Mac) and version?
Does the editor work?
Which exact error message?

Reinstalling will not change anything to the catalogs.

If you can't open the organizer, first thing to try:
Keep the shift key pressed while opening the organizer. A dialog should appear with the option to 'repair' the catalog or to start a new one. Does it make a difference?

Thanks, I am finally getting the organizer, however I still have problems because
when I open the organizer page I get NO tabs at all, only all the photos with the list of Albums and Keyword tags on the right side of the page. I have no tabs on the upper left side of the page so that I can import my new batch of photos.
How do I recover the tabs for "file" "edit""find" and "view" ?
Without those tabs I cannot do anything at all !!

i am using Win 7 with Photoshop 9

What is the vertical size in pixels of your display?
With 'short' displays, older Elements versions have had problems with displaying the top menu you are referring to.
Can you see the 'Display' and 'editor' button on the right of the top bar?
