Lightroom: Reduce clicks to open and close different catalogs

LR used to automatically open in my external monitor where I always use it. But the newer version keeps opening on my desktop. I create 5-10 catalogs per year and switch between them, and each time, I have to drag it back to my external monitor and click to go full screen. Also, I cannot seem to disable the backup feature. I have Time Machine so do not need to back up the catalog separately. Too many clicks getting in and out of LR!

Not sure about the monitors part, as I want LR to open on my main desktop monitor (which is an external monitor) and I use Windows and always use the same catalog.

The setting for how often to do backups (on the Windows version of LR) is LR / Edit / Preferences / Go to Catalog Settings / Genera (tab) / Backup (section) Backup Catalog, which includes an option for None. Now since this settings is a Catalog setting you'd need to change it for each catalog, once, I'd expect.

Had you not found this setting, or is it not working, if you set it, and then open the same catalog, again?
