Do you have Quick Mask enabled? (does hitting the [q] key make it disappear)

Looks like MacOS 10.10 - so it could also be the video driver bugs in MacOS 10.10. Apple is aware of the video driver problems in MacOS 10.10 and working on solutions.

What do you mean that there is no active form? Do you mean Quick Mask is not enabled?

Having both versions of Photoshop installed shouldn't cause this problem.

If it's not quick mask being enabled and it's a graphics card driver issue as Chris suggestions, disabling "Use Graphics Processor" and restarting should make the issue go away: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

No non c'è maschera attiva.
