Lightroom/Camera Raw: Recovery improvements to avoid flat, unsaturated highlights

Recovery tends to make the highlights flat - and unsaturated. So I've got an idea. My idea's recovery will increase Vibrance/Saturation of the compressed highlights depending on the affected area.

I'm not sure about the proposed solution, since I don't really understand the problem, but I definitely agree that if there is a way to enhance recovery so that it recovers highlights without making the top end so "flat" looking, it would be well worth doing.

PS - There are probably more people who want this than will chime in here - it seems this forum has grown rather quiet lately. I think whatever Adobe is going to do for Lr4 is just about set in stone by now - could be wrong...

The more I think about this idea, the better I like it. After playing around with Lr4B1, I've been noticing that at least some part of the flat look that comes with recovering highlights could be remedied by a subtle boost in saturation.
