A couple of years ago, I used file recovery software to recover a large amount of RAW images that I had accidentally deleted. I'm in the process of uploading my RAW image library to Adobe Lightroom's cloud, and I'm noticing that these files, while still .CR2 files, don't seem to have retained some of the data. For example, I can't specify color profile, white balance options are missing, and enabling lens corrections does nothing.
Am I correct in my assertion that the recovery process wasn't able to retain the camera metadata? Is there a way to restore that? I seem to remember in Lightroom Classic, that you could specify your lens in lens corrections, but Lightroom Desktop (CC), which is what I use, is more simple and doesn't have that functionality.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
