I love Full Screen mode for editing weddings. I often need faces to be big on screen to see people's expressions so I can rate the images. However, even though I can rate images while doing this - I can't see the rating, would be nice to have the option of seeing it in a corner. Also - more importantly, I can't delete an image while in this mode, I have to hit the F key to go back to normal view, so I can remove an image. Annoying. Would be great to have these options in a future revision of the program.

Good idea to show the rating.
Instead of trying to delete (which is a slow operation anyway) I would assign a keyword like 'to be deleted'. That's really quick and you can select all files to be deleted after your batch editing and delete them all.

Or you could simply set the Rejected flag by hitting the X key, and then later batch-delete all the rejected photos.

Splat-delete still works in full screen mode.

Win: Ctrl-Shift-Alt-Delete
Mac: Cmd-Shift-Option-Delete

Beware: no warning/confirmation prompt - permanent delete from hard disk (I mean, it'll be put in recycle bin if possible).

Thx Rob, didn't know that. I normally hit Cmd + Delete on the mac. So haven't ever bothered with the direct option, but that would certainly do the trick.

Yes, I know I can always simply hit X and flag the image, but I often prefer to simply rid myself of it immediately if it's a total duff shot - out of focus etc.

The rating thing still applies though. Would be nice if the ratings were permanently visible in F mode. With an option to turn on or off.

The full-screen mode is still young - fingers crossed for robustening.

Personally, I'd like to see full-screen image on one monitor, with tools for library & develop in the other monitor, so one could see *everything* about the image, and do *anything* to the image, whilst it's being displayed full-screen.

Same issue for me!
I run through a whole shoot and "x" the junk photos. This also gives me a sense of what I've gotten without having to make any other hard decisions about what to keep etc.

It could be a feature like in the Loupe view when we hit the "I" key. and it doesn't have to be big or stand out too much ... just a little semi-transparent indication of the flag, label or star down in the corner.
