Rating - I'd like to see a way for the whole screen to be used for either star-rating or picking rather than always being a half-and-half screen.  I sometimes like to use my left thumb to pick images and would like to do that.

Okay, it’s been a year since I put this into requested features. Please, let me expand this idea a bit and to clarify what I meant: instead of having half the screen ‘star’ ratings and the other half ‘picked’ ratings, how about allowing us the option at the bottom of the screen to select which one we want to do and add ‘color’ ratings. That way, when we want to be ambidextrous when rating our images we can choose which hand does the rating. Maybe you can find a way to allow for one, two, or all three ratings types to be used at the same time. For example, there are probably people that love the way it is set up right now and they can select the ‘star’ rating and the ‘pick’ ratings to be just like they are, or if someone wants just star rating then they can have the whole screen to be set up to pick a star. One other thing I’d love to see is for the swipe-to-rate action to stop and there to be a top/middle/bottom approach to ratings. For the pick rating, the top portion of the screen can be pick, the middle can be unpicked, and the bottom can be rejected. This would make it so much easier for me to fly through culling. Also, there could be a way to tap a large forward and backward button, say in the bottom left corner of the screen, so I can advance without swiping to go to the next image, or even auto-advance would be awesome here. Lightroom just needs to be more advanced in these areas if you want to appeal more to pros, IMO.
