This is because the 0-9 keys adjust the Flow of your brush when you are using the Adjustment Brush.

[Esc][Esc] # Rating [ K ] is a quick shortcut I use to bounce in and out of Adjustment brush and applying a rating.

Ah! Just discovered that shift/number key will let you rate. I wished it was the other way around!

Keep in mind this does not work on the numeric pad but only on the numbers at the top of the keyboard.

In principle I agree that keyboard shortcuts should not change across modules or modes.

However, in this case I'd prefer the behaviour to stay as it is, i.e., number keys should influence the brush flow. This is an adjustment that needs to be frequently made during brushing and having to use the shift key would be very cumbersome.

I wish, "Alt" + number key would adjust the flow of the temporary eraser brush. This would be very, very helpful. Anyone agreeing with me, please vote for the corresponding feature request.
