PHOTOSHOP - Random transparent squares appearing when I remove the background

How come when I removed the background from a jpey and save it as a png, when I view the new file there is a random transperant square in the middle of the remaining image. Also happens when I move it.

What version of Photoshop are you using? Have you installed all the updates?
What OS version are you using?

Its photoshop cc 2015, everything is up to date
Os x Yosemite version 10.10.3

now when I upload images in any format they appear completely transparent but holds the dimensions of the image I'm trying to load

Your OS is two versions behind.
And make sure you have Photoshop 2015.0.1 (check Help->System Info).
