r13 not working wont even start

says I need to sign up for trial.  I have the unlock code etc.  I don't know where to go

I can only guess it still thinks it's not unlocked or registered.  I had another piece of software like that too but it wasn't Adobe.  I unlocked twice, and then, it finally worked after the 3rd time. Your software needs to register with Adobe online and it's a holiday weekend, go figure.   Good thing you still have the software code for its registration.   I'll try to be more helpful:   

For registration any time, go to the Help menu and find register.  If the word "register" is not there, then wait a couple of days for it to register.   OR - alternatively, there is a place at Adobe's website to register products.   Here's a set of instructions of how to get there, find your registration code if you need it, and it should have a register button too.   

Go to the website below and follow the instructions below it.   Select first 'Plan & products' and you'll see 'View your products', which display the list of registered software with their license keys.  IF your software is listed, you are signed up.  If not, register your product.   

- Start by signing in at the Adobe site:
wait until you get this:

- Click on manage account (your password will be asked for)
Now re-read your instructions above.
