Hi,

How can I use Bengali Font in Photoshop?

Some people are saying to use "Avro" keyboard and ANSI fonts, but not sure if they are officially supported.

Moreover ANSI fonts may not be great for Web pages.

What is the recommended way?

Any insight will be appreciated.

Howdy Partha,

If you are running Photoshop CC, then you have full support for Bengali type in the application. You will need to switch to the Middle Eastern and South Asian composer. You can find instructions on how to do so here at my video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfuw7...

Thanks,
David

Please note, this will not necessarily work as in the video in all versions of the product.  Bangla is an Indic font used to write an abugida script -- that is a complex script.  As a result, you must have the Middle Eastern and Southasian text engine active in order for the various diacritical marks, including vowels, as well as consonant clusters and ligatures to be correctly rendered.

Hope that helps.  Feel free to ping me if you have questions.

Thanks,
David
