Sometimes you need to convert a layer into a background. There is an option "Background from Layer" in the Layer menu and it is good where it is, but I think it would be good and very intuitive to add it also to the pop-up menu of the layers in the layers palette in the same way that a background layer has the option "Layer from Background..."

Notice I'm not talking about converting a background into a layer. As I said, there is already an option in the pop-up menu for that and there are also some other shortcuts to do it (Alt/Option+Double Click the background layer, Command/Ctrl+J to duplicate it into a layer).

What I am talking about is converting a layer into a background. This menu item doesn't even have a shortcut. You can assign it a shortcut, but I think it doesn't need one since it is not used so often but an option in the pop-up menu would be very handy.
