My aunt told me to edit herself to be skinnier, but Puppet Warp won't work.

Hi Vivian, doesn't work in what way? Is the command disabled? Or some other error/behavior?

Have you selected the subject and copied it to a layer above the main image? Puppet warp doesn't work on a layer that holds the entire image, or rather, it will cover an image with the warp if it's not a Background layer, but that's useless. Puppet Warp is grayed out on a Background layer.

Or have you tried Liquify, which might work well if the background can conceal the distortion as you push pixels around?

You should always do this sort of thing on a copy anyway, not on the original image.

But if this isn't the issue, it would be helpful to know what OS you're using, what version of PS, and more details about your document, it's mode, layers, etc.
