Public minor release betas for Lightroom?

I looked at your area where Adobe posts various prelease software, and I was disappointed that Adobe doesn't issue Lightroom public betas for minor Lightroom updates.  As someone whose 5D Mark IV just got here, I'd kill to be able to get my hands on the beta that various testers were using, even if it isn't 100% polished, even if it doesn't handle dual-pixel RAW, just so that I don't have to shoot RAW+JPEG for the next few weeks.

When you have camera compatibility betas, please consider making them available as public betas on the day that the cameras ship to the public, rather than limiting them to only a few lucky individuals until the product finally ships.  As a software engineer, I know the risks of running beta software, and that's why I keep regularly updated backups.  :-)

Thanks.

I feel 100% the same. Using Canon's software has been painful both in time and in capabilities. I imagine that I will have to go back and add these into Lightroom when compatibility happens? I would also love to know if they will even initially support the dual pixel raw format or should I be avoiding that option on my images more than I do.

Also, I'm not sure there is a way to offer a convert to DNG option more quickly in regards to new formats. If there was some tool (kind of a droplet) that I could simply drag cr2 images onto and all it did was open and save as a dng, that would be nice and all I need to get them into LR.
