Photoshop Elements: Crash after installing custom brushes

Someone please heeeelp! Support has been extremely unhelpful, saying that the only thing I can do is upgrade so that they can help me. Yeah, right.

SO. PSE 8.0 refuses to install new brush presets. Won't open them, won't do anything with it. After attempting to add them all in manually, now when I try to open the program it takes me straight to a User Agreement. Upon click Accept, the program shuts down and does not go any further.

Am I SOL? Do I just need to uninstall and try reinstalling? I've had problems installing the program on my laptop which is why I'm stuck on my desktop with it, and now it won't work on here either. And of course Adobe just wants more money instead of fixing the problem. Bah.

If you tried installing custom content into the program and it fails after that, I would suggest removing that content. If you are not able to remove it completely, then uninstall the program, delete the left over program folder, and then reinstall.

I removed the custom content completely and have not had any luck in getting the program to run. I'm currently uninstalling it - hopefully it will accept the serial number again.
