I've tried every thing to re-install PSE7 from a disquette and no luck. Stopped working after 3 years of loyal service. I can get as far as the first page but when I click on "organise", for example, it crashes. On the task panel it dissapears from the applications tab but is still in the processes tab .

What OS/version are you running Elements on?

Did it ever work on this system? If so, what changed?

You may want to try creating a new user account or running in safe mode:

OS is XP . It was installed on this system 3 years ago. Don't know what might have interfered with it. Maybe a virus or an installed program. I've removed it but still seem to have a bug with the anti virus tool that occasionaly makes a pop up which turns blank unless you drag it around with the cursor.. I'll try what you say. The antivirus (F-Secure) is provided by my internet provider. All other programs work fine. Except that I had to reply through IE here as Chrome would not open your site.

Sounds like the Anti-Virus tool is wreaking havoc on your system. I'd disable it and reinstall any software the the anti-virus tool has damaged.
