Photoshop Elements: 10 freezes on print to Epson Artisan 835 (Win 7)

Whenever I attempt to print with PSE 10 it freezes. I was having the same problem with PSE 8 and upgraded hoping that would fix the issue but no such luck.
Any suggestions?
I run Win7 fully updated and use an Epson Artisan 835 which has the latest drivers.

I would try uninstalling the current driver, go to the Epson site and grab/install the latest driver. Re-add the printer and try to print again.

Is the printer connected directly to the computer or over a network?

Hi Brett,
It is connected over the network.

I have deleted the printer drivers and installed the latest ones. The printer is wire connected to the network not wireless.
PSE10 is now printing but oooooh sooooo sloooowly - takes maybe 45 secs for the print dialogue box to appear and every action for settings etc are very slow.
If I print directly from the Pictures library all works quickly and well. This is OK but all my images are much easier to find in my catalogue.

Hi
The Problem continues and actually I am finding the same sort of delays in printing PDFs as well. Seems to be a problem with anything Adobe.
Printing other material is OK.
Any help appreciated

The Adobe programs don't share much code, including printing code.

No, you still have a more general problem with your printer driver. My guess is that it's got a bug in the Vista/Win7 print path (that many applications aren't using yet).
