Is Photoshop Elements 9's "organizer" basically the same as Adobe Bridge? I need to know for a college class, and it would help to know if I have to return PSE9 and get Photoshop CS5 extended. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, as said in another topic, I believe that Bridge is with the Mac version, and the organizer ships with the PC version of Elements.

And no, Bridge and Organizer are different apps - they share some functionality, but not too much.

If you need it for a class - get what the class specifies.

Bridge used to be shipped with the Mac version of Elements, but starting with Elements 9, both Mac & PC now have Organizer...Bridge has very unfortunately been lost in the transition. If only Adobe would hear some of our pleas to either give us the *option* to use either Bridge or Organizer...or sell Bridge as a standalone product. It is sorely missed by a lot of us who loved its ease of use and functionality. But evidently, Adobe disagrees with us and thinks that Organizer is the way to go. :(

Hi Karen,

Good news – Adobe listened and has since made Bridge CC a 100% free tool for everyone to download and use, including with Photoshop Elements...

In fact, no subscription or purchase is even necessary.

Just wanted to update this thread, in case you weren't yet aware!
