I am trying to use the healing brush in PSE9. Each time I attempt it, I get the following message - "Photoshop Elements Editor.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and it doesn't help. Any ideas?

Hi Steve, I would try updating Photoshop Elements. Launch Elements and choose Help > Updates....

That's the solution to this problem given in the following article:

Crash when using Content-Aware option with Spot Healing Brush | Photoshop Elements 9 | Windows

Why is every time a start to use any of the edit tools in my Photoshop Elements 9 it lets me get so far then I get a pop up that says "photoshop has stopped working" and closes me out?? This is getting very frustrating. I still haven't been able to use it. I'm on Windows 7. There was a similar question in the forum. But her's worked for a while and quit. I get the stopped working message every time I start to edit a photo.!

I'm pretty sure you just need to update Photoshop Elements.
