Hi.
photoshop elements 7.0
windows vista
I can't 'save for web'. I go to 'file', click the button, and quite simply nothing happens. I also can't 'save as' a gif.

Hi Ann,

Did this ever work for you? If so, what's changed? Added any software to your computer or 3rd party plug-ins to Elements?

If you go to Help>Plug-Is... Make sure that Save For Web is listed as an installed plug-in. If it is I would try restoring your prefs as a first place to start:

http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Photoshop...

If it's not installed, I would reinstall Elements.

Hi Jeffrey, thanks for the reply.
Sorry, I can't recall if it's ever worked, yesterday was the first time I had to use it. It is listed in the plug-in list. I've reset the preferences, and the only thing that changed is that now I can 'save as' a GIF file.
Is there anything else I can try?

Try running the application as an administrator.

1. Go to the executable file: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
2. Right-click the file and choose Run as Administrator.

See if that helps.
