Elements 14: Photomerge panorama not working

I think there is a bug in my new PSE14. It will not allow me to highlight 2 photos that need to be photo merged. It only does one. Totally frustrated with this. Have tried many different ways of doing panorama photo merge but nothing is working.

Look in the photo bin on the bottom of the screen.
If the photobin is not displayed, click on the leftmost icon on the bottom toolbar.
Only selected images among those in the photobin will be used for the panorama.
You have to be sure they are 'selected'; Ctrl+click on each wanted thumbnail until it shows a thin white frame around the thumbnail.

This is why I wrote my question above. I have a Macbook Pro and have followed all the instructions including yours before writing the above question. The photo bin is in place with 2 photos but PSE 14 will only allow 1 photo to be highlighted - not 2.

Doesn't work on PC either. I can select 3 photos, but only 2 of them get stitched. Use to work in PE11, but not in 14.

John,
That looks like a different issue since you can select 3 photos.
Are your photos overlapping enough? Do you get the same result with other source photos?

on PC you cannot ctrl click to select more than one image it just jumps from one image to the other. You cannot get both images onto the screen to overlap. When you select create panorama you keep getting stupid messages either you must select more than one image or all images must be saved.

I cannot get panorama to work in Elements 14 whether images are portrait or Landscape. It will not allow you to select two images from the bin at the same time. Really frustrating as earlier version are so easy to use.

I can't check on Macs, but to select all the files in the photo bin, displaying a thin white frame around each thumbnail, I can:
- select the first image and shift click in the last one in the photobin.
- select each of the necessary images in the photobin with Ctrl click
- or start from the organizer (menu  Edit >> Photomerge); that automatically select all files.

Yeah, this is a problem with Elements 14, I gave up in the end. Thank goodness I held onto Elements 11. The other annoying thing in 14 is that they removed the "Magic Extract" option, again, lucky I still have 11 installed!

I returned PhotoShop Elements 14 many months ago.  Adobe had turned that software into a piece of junk.  It was horrrible.  I'm back using my copy of version 6, which is great.  Amazing how a company can take something that is so elegant and then completely destroy it.  Version 2 was even better than 14.
