Elements 11: Can I permanently sort the photos in an album in chronological order?

Can a permanently sort the photos in an album in chronological order in PSE 11?
If i sort the photos in the media bin and sort by oldest first, then place is the content area of the edit album, the oldest-to-newest order is preserved in this area. However once i hit save, the subsequent album order shown in the media bin has reverted to newest first. This is a regression from PSE 9, (my previous version). Is there any workaround to this bug ... or is this user error?

This is disappointing that no one is reading this. When I export my album to AppleTV the order is no longer in chronological order. PSE11 has this crazy algorithm of sorting the newest day first but the sort within the day is oldest to newest. This really destroys any sort of planning I have in presenting an album.
I'll need to drop PSE because when it comes down to it, it has no control over the order of albums. I'm been a user since PSE6.
