PSE 2018: Fails to import photos from iPhone 7 on Mac via PSE Photo Downloader.

PSE 2018 fails to import photos from my iPhone 7 plus on Mac (High Sierra). The issue doesn't seem to be quite so bad on Elements 2018 Organizer as it will sometimes work for a small number of files, but worse in that it never deletes any photos when I say "delete originals" after download complete. However it is such a real pain downloading 5 or 10 photos at a time, some of them fail, then having to delete the photos manually from my phone. I did report this issue on a thread in on an Adobe Forum a year or two back, I guess that doesn't help issues get fixed.

Same issue on Elements 2015 but it failed the photo download quicker i.e. with fewer photos

Any ideas?  Thanks for any help to resolve!

Side comment: it doesn't matter how good the features of PSE 2018 are .... if I can't do the basics i.e. import photos - it's pretty useless overall.  A candid message for your product managers, software developers and test engineers!  Sorry to be so blunt. I work in software myself and I often see the "less sexy" pieces of code being neglected.

I already gave mine to your post in the Elements user to user forum yesterday:

If you are working in software, you do know that any editing software can edit files accessible on your computer.

Any comment?
