Elements 14: Panorama photomerge not working with pictures taken in "portrait" mode

I am trying to make a panorama photomerge by using pictures taken in "portrait" mode. This was working with my previous installed version: the v12 of photoshop elements.
With this version 14, i am getting a message (in  french): Vous devez enregistrer les documents avant de les fusionner. This means in english something like: You must save the documents before merging them
I am getting this message just on clicking on the botom right button to start the creation of the panorama. At that point, the pictures are selected and the parameters choiced.
I am having this pb on both of my PC's which are under Windows 10.

Does it mean this is a Bug ??

OK.. fine.. This is ok by removing the orientation tag after saving..
It is strange that oldest version did not need to do so. Normaly a new version should bring new facilities/goodies but not less...
For my point of view, a correction must be done because of the message which has no good meaning...!!!! asking to save something which has never been changed..... is rather curious. Is'nt it ??? .. So for me it should just  work as in oldest versions.
So what is the way to request a change in that code????

That's what you have just done.
There has been enough posts in the present feedback forum as well as perhaps one hundred posts in the Elements user to user forum. So, Adobe are aware of the problem. Such a fix might appear in the next Elements version.
Many plugins had to be rewritten on account of the change to 64-bits OS and to re-use Photoshop plugins in Elements.

Adobe's awareness of the problems: did they launch a version that needed far more testing time before launching just to be on their usual schedule? Loyal customers, and new customers, are stuck with a version of the program (14) with glitches that aren't being corrected with updates. Please, Adobe, give us a satisfactory update OR free/discounted, fabulous version 15.

Ditto on above link. But also, consider trying to open from the Organizer. If I end up needing to save first, I do it this way: use File>Process Multiple Files and put the copies in a folder on the desktop (temporary, can delete later.
