Is there ANY WAY to get my PSD files to preview before opening, like the JPEG files? I am in a Photoshop class, and everyone has the same complaint. It now takes forever to get anything done having to open so many files because we cannot see a preview and it's driving us all crazy, including the instructor. I think I'm liking my old version of Photoshop better (PSE8).

Well, previewing in your OS before opening is done in the Explorer for Windows. That's nothing related to Elements or any other editing software.
In older versions of Windows, the Explorer had the required codecs to show psd files. You can search for search codecs to add to your present Windows version.
Really, does your instructor know anything about the Elements Organizer, which is the best way to visualize and organize your pictures?

Hi...yes, my teacher knows about Organizer, but we do not use it, as we would have to load all our photos for every class, and when the computers are turned off, everything disappears. We would be doing this at the beginning of every class, as well as all her classes throughout the day; too time consuming. Also, at home I do not use the organizer and do not plan on using it. Today my computer guy came over and resolved this for me...I had to purchase software, but it was worth every penny. Not being able to preview PSD files made the process of opening files very time consuming.
